The Glenda Brown Choreography Project offers choreographers and dancers a phenomenal opportunity to explore and develop both technique and artistry.  The format includes:

  •  Daily performance
  •  2 or 3 classes daily
  • Daily critiques for choreographers and dancers
  • Feedback/support from faculty & peers
  • Enhance technique
  • Seminars for lighting, music, business, production
  • Special Final Performance

Typical Daily Schedule

9-12:15            Ballet/Modern/Jazz Classes  Choreographers 
                           Session with Directors of Choreography and Music
12:15-1:15      Lunch
1:15-2:30        Dance related seminars
2:45-5:45        Dancers work with choreographers
5:45-6:45        Dinner
7:00                   Perform completed works
9:00                   Critique sessions for Choreographers and dancers
          


 


Junior Dancers Program
for 10-12 year old dancers

 Two classes per day

  • Observe and audit the choreography sessions each day
  • Attend all showings each evening
  • Participate in closing performance
  • This is a fully chaperoned program.
 


CHOREOGRAPHERS
  • Discuss and experiment with making dances.
  • Use space, energy, and movement.
  • Develop and rehearse new choreography.
  • Assignments performed.
  • Assignments critiqued.
  • Learn tools of choreography.

COMPOSERS

  • Work with Director of Music.
  • Collaborate with choreographers.
  • Create original music to be used during The Project.

DANCERS

  • 2 or 3 technique classes.
  • Work with choreographers daily.
  • Learn, rehearse, and perform new choreography.
  • Gain, enhance and perfect performance skills.
  • Learn tools of choreography and performing.
  • Final Special Performance

OBSERVERS

  • Attend all activities of The Project:  Classes, seminars, showings and critique sessions each evening.
